The German Club
The German Club and its members strive to be earnest leaders on the Virginia Tech campus. Their goal is service to the campus and greater community, as well as fellowship among members and the greater student body. Whether it be leading student organizations, leading student organizations in Giving Day donations, or hosting top-notch events at the Manor, the young men of the German Club strive to set the standard for others to emulate.
"The German Club expects you always to be a Man. It expects you to love truth, hate wrong, and respect others as you do yourself. Never forget this truth, namely: One cannot always be a hero but one can always be a Man."
What is the German Club?
The name was derived from "The German", a popular form of dance when the club was founded. Devotion to Virginia Tech and leadership development become natural consequences of German Club membership. Our members are active in leadership positions in academic societies, the Corps of Cadets, the student body and government, residence halls, and many other aspects of student life. Founded as a social organization, the German Club continues to promote fellowship with socials with sororities, club parties, and the traditional Midwinter’s Dance.
