The German Club continues to leave its mark on the university through its involvement and leadership in campus life and student organizations. The Club recently participated in one of the largest philanthropy events on campus, Mock Rock, which is a weeklong competition sponsored by Alpha Chi Omega. Throughout the week, there are various events such as canned food drives, booth competitions, dime wars, and even a dance competition. Not only did the German Club place 2^nd in the dance battle, they actually accumulated the most points and won the entire philanthropy competition! Because of this victory, the Club was able to send the winnings to the Club's choice of charity, the Tudor House, a local New River Valley organization that dedicates itself to mental health issues.
