Initiation of the German Club Alumni
The German Club Alumni first began organizing in 1967 in preparation for the 75th Reunion
The German Club rejected Greek Affiliation
The German Club rejected offers from SAE to join their fraternity in 1972 and moved into the first GC House on Glade Avenue in Blacksburg.
German Club Alumni Foundation Charter Granted
The German Club Foundation Charter was granted on October 1977 as a tax-exempt foundation.
The German Club Manor was dedicated
The German Club Manor, originally funded by Charles Gordon, '42, was dedicated September 25, 1981.
75th German Club Anniversary Celebration
The German Club Alumni Anniversary Celebration was held in 1987 (this celebration is still repeated every 5 years)
100th German Club Anniversary Celebration
The German Club celebrated its 100th Anniversary in 1992.
Gordan Ballroom was opened
The Gordon Ballroom was dedicated in Charles and Evelyn Gordon’s honor in April 1993.
